Kiwi fruit allergy

I have an 8 month old granddaughter who I am raising. We are introducing her to new table foods. She has tried most fruits and done very well. However, when she eats kiwi, she gets large red splotchy patches on her face, neck, chest and back. After 10 minutes of not eating it, the spots go away.



I am just curious if anyone here has had this type of allergy or know someone who does.
