For me it was Inception...
It was a big letdown; they spent ages setting Ellen Page's character up as this really important architect only for it to become largely irreverent in the second half of the movie... Up until about an hour in when things go wrong and the train tears through the street was good.... at that point I was thinking, there trapped in the dream, now this is about to get really good!... but I feel like it was downhill after that... the levels of dream where interesting and the slow motion physics effects where cool but it just didn't quite do it for me... it just felt like it fell flat when the buildup was so good.
