Racism In The Media

I think that it is well known by now, that the media do try to portray certain races in certain lights over others, and that it has been going on for as long as we have had media. It is also not an accident. It is intentional, but I will save that for another thread.

I don't know if any of you have heard, but there was recently a story in the media about two mothers at a school having a fight. One of them was black and the other was white. There was some sort of talent show going on at that school and the parents were there to support and watch their children show their talent.

A bunch of parents were apparently standing up, and the white lady, poised with her camera, behind this row of standing parents, asked the black mother to move so that she could snap a picture. (Also, I thought hey had banned parents from taking pictures at school events due to pedophilia?)

The black mother asked the woman why she was only addressing her when everyone else was also blacking her vision and aim.

To make a long story short, the white woman made it a point to push over the black mother's little girl, out of anger, and then went back to her seat like nothing had happened.

Of course, the black mother went to town on the other mother, and when the media aired the story, that was all that was shown, was the black mother wailing on the white mother. The story was initially released without the inclusion of the fact that the white mother had pushed down the other mother's little girl.

The police were ready to toss the black lady in jail without hearing anything from her as soon as they arrived at the school. It is so sickening and irritating. The white woman was clearly in the wrong, in my opinion, and I would have whooped her ass if she had pushed my kid down out of indignation too. I don't know who the hell she thought she was.

What would you have done in this situation, if you had been the black mother and someone shoved your child down to the floor intentionally and out of anger?
