Saunas And Finland

Sauna probably remains the most misunderstood word because at first it denotes flirting or sex and a lot. But for tfhe Finish people it is just a part of day.

Today, Finland is a nation of 5.3 million people and 3.3 million saunas, found in homes, offices, factories, sports centres, hotels, ships and deep below the ground in mines.

Here in India, we have something equivalent called "steam bath" usually in gyms.

The steam bath and sauna definitely relaxes the muscles and additionally they must also purify the body.

But Finish people use it for politics also:

When world leaders came to his official residence, Tamminiemi, he would hold negotiations in the sauna where new and more constructive ideas arose. Kekkonen believed all were equal in the sauna, and politics could not be hidden up a sleeve when no sleeves were worn."
