Hey everyone, I guess you could treat this as an intro thread too, but I wanted to share my experience and maybe get others to share theirs?
For me, bodybuilding is in my family, my dad did it and my granddad did it, so it was only natural that I should do it.
I just turned 18 and was feeling pretty rubbish about myself, bad skin, girlfriend left me, a lot of teenage angst. So I turned to the gym!
On my first day at the gym I got a fitness check. At 13st9lbs and 25% bodyfat, with low level fitness, I was determined to make a change in my life. So I started to do light full body workouts and quickly put on size while burning off fat in my first year. It took a while to get into the swing of things, taking weeks off at a time, going back for only 2 days, take another 2 weeks off. But I go there in the end.
Eventually I got to a point where I wanted to try a training split. Push, Pull, Legs. I lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of lean mass, I felt great and my skin was better, even got down to 11% bodyfat!
Now I'm focusing on cutting. I recently did a bulk and got up to 14s tone and increased strength and size everywhere.
Hopefully I'll be round the forum a lot, talking about my experience and keeping people updated!
