Police who responded to a shooting incident in Arkansas.
ONESBORO, ARK. A gunman shot six people at an Arkansas home Saturday, leaving two boys in critical condition, before fatally shooting a worker at a nearby business establishment, then kills himself after.
The suspected gunman was later found dead of a gunshot wound in the drivers seat inside a stopped car,
According to Jonesboro police Sgt. Doug Formon, the gunman shot a man and a 13-year-old girl inside their house, while four other people were injured and taken to hospitals in Memphis, Tennessee.
Formon said the victims, aged 8 and 10, were currently in critical condition.
All the victims were thought to be family members, who are having a party when the shooting invited took place.
Authorizes said that they received a 911 call about the shooting around 1:00 PM. They also responded to a report of a second shooting at a business near a U.S. highway at 1:22 PM.
A worker was found shot to death at the second site, where construction and lawn work had been ongoing.
Around 3:30 PM, Formon said that a farmer or passing motorist called 911 to report a car parked in the middle of a county road.
A deputy responded and found the stopped car with the suspected gunman inside.
Forman said that the investigation is ongoing since it is still unclear if the gunshot was self-inflicted.
He also refuse to name the victims or the suspect, stating that officials wants all family members to be notified on the incident. He added it was not known if the suspect and victims were related to each other.
