Question: Should I do cardio?

I'm 17 years old and I'm trying to get bigger. I weightlift a lot and I play soccer so I'm no stranger to long distance running. I heard that cardio ruins gains but I still want to incorporate cardio into my workout regimen. My main goal here is to getting bigger muscles while still doing some kind of cardiovascular activity. Should I do long distance running or will that affect my gains from weightlifting?
