Cocoa as a memory helper? - Investor's Business Daily

Columbia Univ. researchers have found that dietary cocoa flavonols boosted the memory and brain scans of a small group of study participants aged 50-69. Subjects who began with the memory of a 60-year-old were performing with the memory of a 30- or 40-year old after 3 months on a high flavonol diet. While cocoa is found in chocolate, researchers noted that people should not eat more chocolate to replicate effects of the study because most cocoa-processing methods remove the naturally occurring flavonols in cocoa beans.
