Question: Should schools be allowed to do this to students in gym?

Should schools be allowed to do this to students in gym?

Every year at my school. The Marines come to do exercises with all the students during gym. But I think they go to far. They make you lift around 40 lbs, squats, push ups, running crutches, jumping/leaping, keeping out legs straight up and do cruches at the same time....etc we were put into groups and if one person couldnt keep up we'd have to redo it.

It might not seem bad the pain after is torture. One student felt dizzy, when she asked to go to the nurse, she was refused. She nearly collapsed and then finally was let go. The same happened to me. Instead of letting me take a break I was told to start over. Students are forced to participate and many cant take the pain. Some students had to get their inhalers. After gym class I was still dizzy and slipped on the stair case. I feel students should get a say in this, or at least get a five minute break. And I think it's too brutal especially since some of the kids are only 11.
