Misc I need your guidance (srs)

I need the miscs help on this one.My grandad is really ill and we received a phonecall at 3am Monday morning and had to drive to some distance to see him as he doesn't live near us. I had to call my work and speak to a Partner yesterday last minute for a personal day.

Cutting to the chase I came into work today and one of my buddys awares me that the whole office knows that my grandad is really ill. This is something really personal to me and I didn't want anyone to find out and I had no plans on telling anyone why I took the day off (I know I'm telling the misc, but I have to work with these people everyday)

I asked my buddy how they all know as technically only the Partner I discussed this with and my Line Manager should know the situation. We have 3 managers in our department, including my Line Manager, and one of them found out as he got sent an email notifying him (procedural fuk up).

Anyway this manager tells a senior member of staff and then they go and tell the whole department. I know people in work love to gossip but come on man a senior member of staff should know better.

My jimmies are fukin rustled to the max.

The manager who told the staff member wasnt in today, but he's in tomorrow and I feel like knocking the chit out of him as well as slappin the staff member that told the whole office.

Obviously this isnt the best approach so I thought I would ask the misc on the best way to handle the situation??

I've spoken to another Partner and my Line Manager about this and they apologised on behalf of the company, but I'm still raging.

Cliffs:

Need miscs help on best approach on how to handle the situation
