Ebola outbreak in Liberia last year caused so many deaths. Therefore, US Government spent hundreds of millions of Dollars for making Ebola treatment centers in Liberia and deploying some 30000 troops to do the honors. Nevertheless, after spending such a big amount, it is really a shocking fact that only 28 Ebola patients have been treated in those 11 Ebola centers built by US.
As per the statement of Dr. Hans Rosling; a Swedish public health expert who advised Liberia’s health ministry, referring to Ebola treatment units, “My task was to convince the international organizations. You don’t need any more E.T.U.s.” Furthermore, he also told, “I warned them! The only thing you’ll show is an empty E.T.U.”
On the other hand the response from America was too late for the fast and often unpredictable deadly disease. It is also being estimated that by the end of May, Liberia could be declared Ebola Free.
But that is not just it as the health officials presume that this will be only the matter of time unless another outbreak hits Liberia. Nevertheless, they are not leaving any stone unturned to learn from their mistakes and making the most in order to avoid any future outbreaks.
