What is going on on in Spokane? 900 okayids have not submitted their exemption letters or proof of immunization and may get pulled from school due to that? Isn’t that the school’s fault for letting them enroll/register and attend without submitting the proper paperwork? Is it possible these parents are taking somewhat of a stand and refuse to have their doctor sign off on their Certificate of Exemption? Doesn’t make sense. It seems really odd. 900 students is a large number. It doesn’t sound like they are all rushing to get caught up on their vaccines either, considering a free vaccine clinic was offered.

According to the law, before a child may attend school, a parent must provide proof of immunization status or have filled out and signed a Certificate of Exemption form. That form can cite either philosophical, religious or medical reasoning for not vaccinating their child.
