Hey guys, I was wondering whether it is possible to lose weight if you are in sort of a medium/high carb diet while still maintaining a caloric deficit.
^^ I am a vegetarian so I am unable to eat meat (and I can only eat egg whites on certain days due to my religion) so low carb dieting is not really an option. I will still maintain a caloric deficit but my carbs will be higher. If I could still lose weight, and rapidly at that (combining deficit with HIIT cardio, strength training, and hour walk before bed), why do people really advocate low carb as the only way to lose that belly fat and shed those pounds.
THANK YOU GUYS!!!!!
Update : I do take supplemental protein powder which is 30 grams protein per scoop with less than 1 gram of carb, but it gets redundant to take a protein powder with a meal and just eat vegetables low in carbs the whole day
