I was reading an article earlier that suggested some people may have more success with weight loss if they only diet twice a week. If they struggle to eat a restricted diet all week long or end up binging during diets, then simply sticking with 2 days of extreme low caloric intake (like 650 calories), that their bodies won't go into starvation mode, but they can still cut a lot of weekly calories this way.
