Sore Muscles and Exercise

So I have heard both points of view on this. I have recently begun to take up Crossfit. I used to be very fit when I was younger. I was the fastest runner in my school. Nobody could beat me, not even the older kids. I was faster than the teachers lol. One of them hated me for it, as she prided herself on being a fast runner.



Oh well... lol.



Recently I have been doing air squats/thrusters, and I almost feel as though those muscles have been reactivated - as if they have always been there. dormant. They are pretty sore, but I enjoy knowing that my muscles have been awakened.



Am I supposed to rest them, or exercise through it? I would prefer to work out through it, just to push myself.
