How to move more if I'd rather read books more than exercise?

I go jogging for an hour in the morning but then I sit behind my desk all day, so I think it's starting to affect my health. I do sit-ups to break it up a little, but it's not enough. When I come home I'd rather read a great book then go to the gym, because when else am I going to read? But that means another few hours of sitting.

How can I change this pattern? I think sitting on your behind all day is just about the worst thing for your health.
