If you live in a fairly safe area, I frankly think that your parents are being ridiculous. However, I don't know your circumstances, so I won't make judgments. Ask them if you can get a treadmill, or if your parents can take you to a park, or if you can jog with friends. Check up about pepper spray regulations in your area. There are other ways to lose weight! Losing weight is mostly diet and not as much exercise anyways. The goal is to burn off more calories than you consume, because once you run out of calories from food that you ate, then your body will start burning stored fat, which will make you lose weight. Simply put, get all of your necessary food groups, nutrients, and whatnot, but also eat these in fewer calories.
