Question: Weight lifting tips and help!??!!?

Me and my friend are 15 and we are trying to get strong and gain muscle etc. I am 5'11-6'0 and 250 (give or take) pounds. I squat 275 x3 and bench 155 x3 idk if that's good or not. But I have some questions. When we lift what should we do with protein stuff? And is it true the less weight and more reps is actually better. And what are some really good workouts that I can do to maximize my muscle gain etc? Any tips? Thankd
