Does your workplace go out of their way to promote healthy living and fitness?

Some workplaces are all about supporting the healthy lifestyle and others are not. I have taken it for granted that workplaces at least provide the opportunity to their employees for a healthy lifestyle due to what I have experienced. I have always had access to a shower/change room and at least been in a close proximity to the gym that I could easily go to during the day. In addition to that, there are challenges, promotions and contests which aim to promote a healthly lifestyle. For example, right now there is a month long pedometer challenge where teams could be made and friendly competitions between departments were raised.

Is this common among workplaces or am I 'spoiled' by the company that I work for? Do you have health promotion activities sponsored by your workplace? Does your job make it easy for you to work out during the day / lunch hour (including access to showers)? Are you provided a healthy option at a local cafeteria or is it all deepfried?

I'm interested in seeing what the general consensus across the board is for this ...
