One of the things I have really gotten a kick out of since I have started running are the multitude of electronics out there that can help you record and measure your progress. One in particular that I use is the Nike+ app on my smartphone. It measures distance, speeds, maps, and records achieved.
Beyond the smartphone applications there are a large variety of new products which are the "next generation" of the classic pedometer. Pieces of equipment such as the Fitbit and the Fuelband are helping people quantify their activity.
Have any of you used any of these types of equipment? What do you do with the information that it gives you? Do you find that it is an efficient means of helping you to achieve / maintain your healthy lifestyle? Finally, do you have any recommendations for those looking to jump onto the bandwagon?
