Plain Packing For Cigarette May Not Be Working ?

Australia is the first country that has introduced the plain packing law for the cigarette and the govt is claiming that the smoker have responded positively to the this campaign. The plain packing have health message on bold on the package and the name of manufacturing company in small displays.

The cigarette companies are, however, reporting that the sales has not reduced.

The World Health Organization has said plain packaging would increase the impact of health warnings, stop consumers thinking that some products were less harmful and make tobacco products less attractive.

I think it should take another few years before the results are visible.
