I am now not keen on the print journal idea for monetary reasons, but so long as we’re going to have MD in print, I don’t think axing the Q&A columns is wise. Ron is right: basing decisions on a different class of consumer (forum members vs paid/indirect print readers) shouldn’t be common practice.
Furthermore, the transition from print to digital needs to get in high gear. Imagine if Steve took only a percentage of his production budget and applied it to MD online. The end result would be HUGE. Loads of content for everyone, including gobs of video. Who really wants to read when they can watch? People nowadays want to be informed AND entertained. Video is the perfect vehicle.
