Question: Does stretching improve your muscle performance?

Stretching before and after workout improves flexibility in muscle and warms them up. If you do it before workout it will provide blood to the muscles. Think of it like this, when you take deep breath, your chest stretches or expands, you inhale fresh supply of air and you feel energetic or you get that spark of energy. Similar is the way with stretching muscle before workout, it pumps the blood there and gives you a boost. After workout stretch is to simply relax the muscle, so they won't remain tensed all the time. Stretching improves the performance for future workouts.
