The only difference between home made sweets and store bought sweets is the amount of sugar and fat. If you make your own sweets at home, you can modify the amount and the types of sugar/fat that you add. You can even swap out certain fats for healthy alternatives like apple sauce. Store bought sweets have a ton trans fats (thats what helps them keep their shelf life - cookies can sit on the shelf forever and not spoil) Your body will still metabolize the fat and sugar, and can have devastating effects on your body if eaten in large quantities.
