Can I see results with p90x without using the meal plan?

I am 22 years old, I weight about 128 and I am 5'5. I'm not really out of shape, I work out a litlte mostly cardio and at home workouts. I am not looking to lose a ton of weight since I feel like I am at a healthy weight, I just want to get toned up and get a good workout. I have the p90x program but actually haven't started because I don't have all the equipment they use in the videos, and am wondering if it's necessary? Like I said, I'd like to tone my arms and reduce my body fat, but don't want to be really muscular or have a 6 pack or anything. Is it possible to just use the certain dvds from the program and kind of make it your own? Will I only see the results I want if I do the entire program including the meal plan? I eat pretty healthy as is, 3 times a day with snacks, Not a ton of sweets but not cutting everything out either. Any input is appreciated especially someone who knows about these types of programs
