Ohio State's football team ready to play against That Team Up North - Maine News

Gov. John Kasich and Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor declared Saturday, November 29, 2014 'Scarlet Letter Saturday'. Ohioans are asked to 'avoid using the letter 'M' when possible' in the proclamation. Saturday has been made a day for the scarlet and gray of Ohio State University. The resolution was signed by Kasich on Friday.

Ohio State's football team is all prepared to play against University of Michigan at Ohio Stadium in Columbus Saturday. All members of the college football playoff selection committee have been made honorary Ohioans in the resolution. The list has names of Condoleezza Rice and Archie Manning.

The resolution has been issued in honor of the forthcoming football game between Ohio State University and That Team Up North. The match is scheduled to be played on November 29.

"It is such a big game and it is good to get the whole state involved. Anything we can do to add more fun to the rivalry is good," current OSU drum major and former Portsmouth resident David Pettit said.

Local OSU supporter William McKinley is very active in his alma mater. McKinley has a scholarship established in his alma mater and there is a library in the stadium, which is named after him.

McKinley said that event has been organized to just prove that one is a pure Buckeye and not spiritless and he thinks that he need not prove is loyalty by avoiding the letter m. McKinley is not happy with Michigan being down.

He remembered his love for his team, when he used to listen to the football games with his family on the radio. Presently, The Team From the North is 5-6 and Ohio State University is 10-1.
