It's for the "hard gainers" whose metabolism is way too fast to keep up with it through a normal diet. So it's a quick way for these people to earn there calorie surplus. Some people surplus might be 1,500 calories a day....some 4,000. So, no its not intended to make you fat. It gives you protein, carbs, fat, and calories for the most part. If your like me and have to eat 3,500 calories a day, this is perfect.
