Question: Why isn't some of my weight losing?

I'm like a pear (fruit) so during the summer I've been exercing and keeping on a good diet , I haven't drank soda in about a month . I've seen a change in my stomach and my chin a bit of weight has been lost , but my butt and hips are still very big , I still exercise and keep a clean diet . Can you guys give me advice . 1- exercises that are really helpful

2- what to completely avoid , cake etc...
