This has obtained to be some of the stupidest fights somebody has ever had. Please keep in mind we usually get along quite well…..

I’ve been in a relationship with B for 12 years. Lived together for 6 and got married 5 weeks ago. While living together we would occasionally get into fights that lead to yelling, screaming, name calling etc…a few times it got really out of control. I broke our laptop, punched a hole in the wall and seriously threatened her. I am not happy about these acts. Anyway, we mutually decided that it was her excessive drinking that was the root of the problems and she cut back on her drinking and we have been “crazy fight free” for nearly 3 years now.

Last night (she was not drinking at all) she made a statement suggesting that I get rid of all the stuff I recorded on the dvr because “You’re never gonna watch it”. This is about the fourth time she has made this statement. We have a TERRABITE dvr, it’s 47% free, there is NOTHING on it that would not be suitable for a 10 yr old. I asked why she keeps saying this, her reply is, is looks cluttered. WTH? Anyway, I pointed out (all this started playfully) that the spare bedroom closet is full of her daughters stuff that she doesn’t and won’t ever use. Somehow it escalated to name calling (I honestly don’t know who said what first, but for the sake of arguement, I’ll say that I called her a crazy ***** first) then to her saying she wished we hadn’t gotten married and that I don’t love her (please keep in mind I just recently GAVE her $4000 to pay her car off so she could have a little financial breathing room)….also keep in mind that I pay all the bills except cell phone and water. So, for the $170/month I’m paying for cable and she wants to dictate how much I can record because it looks cluttered?????????? Yes, I called her names, yes, I slammed a chest of drawers onto a wooden thing at the foot of the bed. I’m not proud of these things but I am proud that I didn’t hit her! Obviously, I am ****** while typinmg this but I am at a TOTAL loss for words. She isn’t PMS’ing, she wasn’t drunk. I just don’t understand. Then she tells me I have anger issues. I say she has “don’t know when to shut up issues” When someone twice your size is begging/screaming STFU and you keep antagonizing them….i’m not gonna say you deserve anything – i know what i did was wrong but please, for the love of God, just shut up when I’m that angry.

What do I do? I will seek anger managem,ent classes if need be but I am very calm, playful and happy until she tells me I don’t love her. I will accept responsibility but I certainly think she gets a bit of it as well. Please lend a hand&#thirteen;
