One meal once in a while is fine, but eating like that all day for multiple days has definitely reset your progress. You will certainly gain some water weight from the over consumption of carbs and sodium, but that is temporary weight. I don't know how much you ate exactly, so can't say whether you'd gain any fat. Why were you embarrassed? If you are serious about being healthy and losing weight then you need to apply that to all aspects of your life, including going out with friends. Eating something different than your friends is not something to be embarrassed about, it shows self-discipline, dedication and control.
