I like to try to find my target heart rate for exactly where I am, and then see if I meet my maximum rate during and after my workouts. I usually do it after power-walking at an incline, and I come really close to making it. When I run in intervals I always make it, but I'm trying to raise it a bit more while walking. The apps are pretty accurate, I was surprised. You just put your finger on the dot and it tells you your heart rate. Mine has been on point almost every time I've tried it, so it's surprising how correct they are! Have any of you ever tried heart rate monitoring apps on your phone?
