Fenugreek helps to protect against diabetes

I just read in an article that fenugreek (methi dana in Hindi) has been scientifically proven to be a very effective natural treatment for diabetes. The studies were conducted by Indian doctors and researchers and the results seem to prove what a lot of Ayurvedic practitioners have known for a long time - that fenugreek seeds help to protect against diabetes.

Apparently the soluble fiber or glucomannans in even 5 grams of fenugreek seeds can help to control blood sugar levels and promote the natural production of insulin.

The article recommended that the fenugreek seeds should be eaten in powdered form or soaked overnight in water.
