I have a very unique family, at least I have always thought so. They are pretty mean people when they want to be though, and most of the time it is all in good fun and nothing personal is intended by it. But obviously strangers do not know that and they take offense or would take offense at some of the things that my family would say. I am talking about my outer family here, who are not a part of my immediate family. They are much kinder and open-minded lol.
In the past I have always been apprehensive about introducing a new love interest of mine to my family. I am not the sort of person to formally introduce someone to my family. My immediately family, yes, But not the ones that I don't care about lol. I'm serious about that, but it is amusing to me. But there are weddings and things and birthday parties, and I have gone without previous partners because I didn't want to subject them to my family.
Has anyone else ever fond themselves in a similar predicament?
