Did you vote in the poll? Do that first then read down.
I'm probably going to end up doing quite a few of these in the future, but okay quick little bit of information: Newborns become deficient in vitamin K within hours of birth, and cannot replenish it from breast milk which is very low in vitamin K. The problem with this is that in some babies this can result in spontaneous hemorrhaging - if you're lucky it's somewhere you can see, but most often this happens internally in places like the gut or the brain. Unfortunately, it has become a distressing trend to deny infants this preventive measure because ... actually I don't know why. There aren't any cons to this actually. So I'm just trying to get a baseline of folks and their reasons for or against this prevention measure. Thanks!
