I have astigmatism so it's really, really, hard for me to see in the dark. I often keep the television on as a source of some light so that I can see my way around when going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I'd use a nightlight, but we don't have any close-by outlets. One night, though, our cable went out, and I noticed that when it was pitch black, I slept so much better. It was hard to see and definitely a hassle, but I noticed I was much more energized the next day. Have you noticed that if you sleep with no background noise, you're more energized the next day?
