Sprouting for health

Growing sprouts is something that can be done by just about anyone, regardless if where they live. Even if you dont have space for a garden, you can grow sprouts.

All you need is a widemouth quart jar with a screen on the lid, and some seeds to sprout.

Alfalfa seed sprouts are very easy, and healthy, and can be used in salads and on a sandwich. Another seed that is very cheap and easy to sprout is a lentil seed. When sprouted, lentils taste almost like mung bean sprouts.

To sprout seeds, put about 2 spoofuls in the jar, add barely warm water, and soak overnight. The next morning, rinse, drain, and continue to rinse 2-3 times each day until the sprouts are 2-3" long.
