I downloaded a step counter onto my Samsung yesterday and I was inspired to test it out. Halfway through my route I thought I'd check my progress only to notice that I had turned on the training section instead of the step-count part! the only record I had was the distance and time covered up to that point. Even though I corrected my error, lost momentum so the second half of my walk was much slower and took time.
What interested me is that this thing calculates calories burned and I was wondering how it does that. Anyone here care to school me?
