Cactus juice benefits

Hello everyone! It's no secret that I'm now on a quest to cut sugar out of my diet and that way to get rid of my insuline resistance naturally or at least keep it on check! I was on a medication for that, but I can no longer take that medication for many reasons. Anyways, I've been told that cactus juice or also known as ''nopal'' juice is good for helping to keep sugar levels on check, I know this for a fact because I used to drink it a lot!

I'm also trying to keep carbs on check, for now I just want to start a low carb diet. I found a very article about this kind of juice over here: The Nutrition of Cactus Juice / Nutrition / Healthy Eating

Over there it says a glass of cacti juice has 2.9 g carbs. Is that much for a glass of juice cacti? What if I plan to drink it twice a day? I always like to add lemon juice to my mine... to cut the slime of the cacti. Would that be too much? I really believe this juice helps a lot to control sugar levels... back when I drank this often my sugar levels were around 76 mg, and now it is around 100 mg!
