Indian herb for weightloss

I was told by a friend that fenugreek seeds (methi dana in Hindi) can be consumed to encourage weightloss and to reduce hunger pangs. Apparently all you have to do is to soak a handful of fenugreek seeds overnight in some cold water and then just drink and eat it all up the next day before breakfast.

What happens is that the soluble fiber in the fenugreek (called glucomannans) will swell up in our stomachs and fool our bodies into thinking that is is full, thus making us feel satisfied after eating even small amounts of food.

Interesting fact. I'm going to give this a try and see how it goes.
