Why did my body fat percentage increase but I look better?

I was 15% last year during wrestling season. I bulked up from 205 to 225 over 9 months. I got really strong. I'm about 6'4 also. At our hydration test a few days ago I was 18% and stumped? I look leaner than I did then or just as lean but I definitely put on muscle. My question is, do you put on fat when you gain muscle as well? And should I just use wrestling season to cut back down.?
