Any individual ever bulked with protein 2 gram per lb?

I was once paying attention to this podcast with J. Antonio, who ran the protein overfeeding find out about. ( http://ift.tt/1qwlbJQ )


The study showed that the people on ~2 gram per lb protein didn’t gain fat even though they were (/should have been) in surplus. They did gain LBM.


Now I am aware that this wasn’t the strongest study and I’m also aware that theoretically one should gain fat even if the surplus comes from protein.


But Antonio did make one good point: This is the only protein overfeeding study available and it showed people didn’t gain fat.


The study drew so much attention that they’re already running a follow up.


Considering all this I’m tempted to go higher on protein on my next bulk, just to see what happens.


Did anyone ever bulk naturally with 2 gram protein per lb? What were you experiences?
