HELP with workouts/rest days schedule?

I'm trying to get bigger arms for September when school begins. i recently started lifting a 15lb dumbell everyday for the past week (triceps, biceps and forearm excercises) but now I realize rest days are important. Is it okay for me to work back to back days (two days of lifting then a rest day and so forth) or should I workout out one day, rest and workout the next day? Would there be any difference in my muscle gain by september depending on those two different rest day schedules? Thanks.
