Question: Lose weight during cross country.?

Losing 20-30lbs in 3 months require extreme caloric deficit... Not only it's unhealthy but your athletic performance would suffer so much that I doubt your coach would love it. (Yes you need be almost underweight for cross country but losing so fast would create an havoc on your hormonal system and you would lose a ton of muscle, it's even worst than being heavier)
