Let me put it this way: they are better for you than ordinary white flour versions of these items. However, they are still carbs, and bagels are VERY high in calories. I would try to stay away from a lot of bread and bready items of all sorts, also pasta, when trying to lose weight. Try to eat mostly vegetables, whole fruits, lean meats and other good stuff like unsweetened Greek style yogurt, eggs and unsalted nuts(not too many of these). Drink water instead of soda or coffee drinks and get some vigorous exercise every day.
Don't look for special diet foods. Just eat the good stuff that we should all be eating anyway.
