I've notice that some brands of canned black eyed peas have significantly less calories per gram than dried black eyed peas. Why is this? Cooking any food increases the calories; so why are the canned black eyed peas less calories per gram? Is there some difference between the two beans or is the company straight up lying on the nutrition label?
