According to one research, it makes no difference whether children with coughs are given antibiotics or not. In some cases, it seems that the children who were not given antibiotics recovered faster than those who were given antibiotics.

Myself, I am not too much in favor of antibiotics. I have noticed, from my own personal experience, that I needed stronger and stronger antibiotics to get the same effect as time passed by.
