Are You A Stargazer?

As children being young and adventurous, we often spent time on our backs gazing up into the sky. It was wonderful to look up into that big unknown black sky and find the"Milky Way," and the "Big and Little Dippers," and next we found the "Northstar."

Different times of the year we found different star formations. In the winter we found the majestic "Orion," surrounded by the "Pleiades and Taurus the bull," and even "Leo the Lion." In the summer, "Cassiopeia and Cygnus the swan" are often the easiest to find.

This hobby is fun to do and any almanac shows the phases of the moon and when the various planets are visible. I think watching the stars helps to stretch our minds and imaginations to the point of wondering what traveling in outer space would be like and if someday regular folks will get to travel to the moon.
