Did you know that there actually is kryptonite here on earth! However, it's called Jadarite. It was discovered in November 2006, in drill core from the Jadar Valley in Serbia. Though it closely matches the formula found in the superman comics, it does not physically resemble it. In the comics, it is a glowing green stone. In reality, it has a pinkish orange color.
