Do you find yourself eating when stressed out or putting food in your mouth when your not hungry?
Do you set your expectations for yourself way to high?
Or do you hold yourself to impossible goals that no way can you meet?
Are you setting your self up for failure everytime you step outside your door?
Do you have panic attacks or negative thoughts about your self or your actions toward other people?
Do you often have feelings of hopelessness and despair for no reason?
Do you feel deprivation or burnout in dealing with life in general?
Are these feelings self-defeating or are they wake-up calls, looking for a better way?
Do we know when we hit the bottom of the barrel? And can we when it happens return to normal life?
Often we are just comfortable with old behaviors even if we don't like them or find the results of them benefical. But if our actions are expressing who we are as people it's not always easy to think outside the box.
We think change is bad, but not all change is, for life changes every day. It might be in the loss of a loved one or by getting married, finishing collage or getting a new job. Each of these things changed your life in small and big ways, and hey, you got through it.
Changing old behaviors means changing the entire beliefs that supported the old thoughts and feelings, and all is needed is a way to change them. But How?
You could seek help from others.
Find support groups.
Believe it can happen.
Be aware of any negative attitudes and remind yourself they are not true.
Remember change is not a race, go one step at a time.
Remember there will be lapses in judgement, and go easy on yourself.
Write down positive thoughts.
Write done negative thought and try to think up solutions.
Remember discarding bad behaviors is not any easier than adopting new behaviors.
Give yourself a break.
Try to enjoy life.
Have a plan.
Reduce your stress.
Spend time with people with positive outlooks
Have a sense of humor.
Be kind to your self.
Work on your life as if a new adventure is waiting for you just outside the flaps of that comfortable old box. Try to make change happen and see where it leds you.
