Worried About Your body Image? Why?

I have seen many articles lately dealing with young girls and woman who are not happy with their body image and want to change their bodies even when they are still developing? Children as young as 8-16, wanting plastic surgery to tighten and lift, with a tuck here and there to give them a Barbie like image that is not natural for any young woman. In fact can be dangerous healthwise.



Strategies To See Your Body In Positive Ways:



Think of your body as a gift.



Focus on good things about your body.



Don't let body image rule your self-esteem.



Know that appearance is only one part of your life.



Focus on other things you are good at.



Don't avoid your mirrored image, look at yourself.



Think of your body as a friend.



Spend time with positive people.



Tell yourself you are beautiful.



Remember that how you look is independent of health.



Remember attitude and manners are more important than looks.



Beauty comes from within



Feel good about yourself and be suppotive of yourself.



Allow yourself to grow and develop naturally.



Make big decisions when your more mature.



Fight against peer pressure.



Be happy with life.



Stay positive and you will accomplish many good things.
